Hi all,

Welcome to the ZTE Support forum.

The rules of use are simple.

1) No swearing, porn, trolling, spam or offensive postings - ever.

2) Stay on topic.

3) If you have an issue include as much detail as possible in the starting post - It helps us and the other users if we have all the details.

Please include the following:

a) Operating system / platform (ie. OS> WinXP, Vista, Win7, MAC OS Ver????, Linux - Platforms> PC, MAC etc)
b) JoinME / Modem client version used?
c) Did it ever work?
d) Do you have or had other handset or modem clients / software installed?
e) Did or do the drivers load?
f) Can you see the drivers are loaded when you look in Device Manager?
g) Are you using the correct USB cable with the handset? Are you sure?

4) You MUST sign-up with Australian EMAIL ADDRESS - Gmail, Yahoo etc don't count. Aussie email addresses required as we are here to service Australia primarily, not the world. I police this on occation as I have better things to do. But every Australian will have a local ISP email address which should be the one they use.

The forum is here to help people, please don't abuse us or the forum.

Breach of the rules is dealt with as follows:

- If the posting is raising an interesting issue / point, then we will edit the post to correct the language and warn the user.
- If the posting is spam, trolling or porn we will delete the post and the user - This will also result in the banning of the email address / IP range (to stop bots).

These rules are updated from time to time to cater for new issues.

Regards,

D.

Hi,

Recently we have had several spammers joining the forum and I have stepped up the security on the site to stop them returning. But I know they or others will still get on and post ads for various products.

So when I find a spammer has joined the forum and posted to the site I will do 3 things.

1) Delete them as a user and all their posts,
2) Ban their IP - Infact, I check their entire IP range and ban it all if they are not from Australia,
3) Report the abuse to their provider / ISP for action and to the blacklists.

If you get on one day and see some spam post don't use it or worry about it as I look at every post and I will perform the above steps with pleasure.

Cheers,

D.

Hi,

Important rule - EMAIL ADDRESS must be Australian based ISP email address.

Spamming will result in your internet address being blocked - And not just the one IP address but the associate foreign ISP range.

I am now actively blocking and checking users email addresses and inforcing the rule.
